Loma del Mar's main restaurant, Luna de Shiva, is canopied by a lofty palapa lit by an immense crystal chandelier that reflects in the swimming pool. White linen tablecloths, Asian statuary and a backdrop of lush gardens and forest add to the airy atmosphere. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are served with continuous service. By day you observe happy golfers playing the 14th hole of Ixtapa's Palmar Golf Course adjacent to the hotel gardens. By night the illuminated pools, waterfalls and fountains glow in a concert of ever-changing color combinations (i.e. chromotherapy).
Our chef creates innovative continental cuisine featuring choice meats, or catch-of-the-day seafood direct from the fishermen. His shellfish cocktails and tiritas, a uniquely Zihuatanejo dish, are memorable, deserts are endearing, and he proves his innate expertise with authentic high Mexican cuisine.
Guests and social locals gather at the adjacent palapa-topped bar and alfresco lounge, a setting also ideal for cocktail receptions and events.
