LOCATION:  In the heart of Ixtapa’s ocean front hills, surrounded by exuberant tropical vegetation and facing the prestigious Palma Real Golf Course.  Only a 20 minute drive from Zihuatanejo’s International Airport (ZIH) and a 10 minute drive from the picturesque Zihuatanejo village

HOTEL DESCRIPTION: Intimate and sophisticated, Loma del Mar Resort exhibits Mediterranean and contemporary architecture with delicate Mexican touches.  Loma del Mar’s  16 Luxury Suites and Penthouses are nestled amid palm trees, lakes and tropical flora facing the swirling hills of the golf valley.  Breathtaking views in any direction allow the emergence of sensual ‘cozy’ areas to unwind and play.  The organic lines that form the property blend to perfection with the landscape for an ultimate feel of relaxation and belonging.

PENTHOUSE (3): Boasting the best views of the property.  Spacious one bedroom accommodations with a single bath, dining area and full kitchen and balcony.  Central AC and ceiling fans, flat panel television with satellite signal, DVD player, safe deposit box.

PRESIDENTIAL SUITE (1): One of a kind two bedrooms suite, featuring an outdoor kitchen and dinning area, and a private outdoor mini-pool. Central AC and ceiling fans, flat panel television with satellite signal, DVD player, safe deposit box.

RESTAURANTS AND BARS:  Two main restaurants directed by our talented chef offer 24 hour service in diverse culinary styles  while showcasing the fresh local seafood and traditional Mexican dishes. 

“La Luna de Shiva”, our renowned main restaurant is a fusion of Mediteranian and Thaï flavours. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“La Pampa Steak House”, a true Argentinean steak house has a splendid view of the Ixtapa's Bay. Open for dinner.

A light menu is available all day long as well at our lounges throughout the resort where soothing cocktails and drinks are mixed to perfection.  Our chefs are happy to accommodate special menu requirements, please advise at least a week before arrival.

SPORTS: Loma del Mar offers an array of sports and fun for the whole family:

Pools: Loma del Mar has 3 stunning pools: An infinity pool for adults over 18. A dynamic pool with 4 fluvial hydro massage waterfalls which provide soothing neck, shoulder and back massages, and a kids pool with 3 different depths and fun water activities.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: Recreational activities available off the hotel yet conveniently close to the property:

Beach: Just 5 minutes away is the Ixtapa beach, guests are transferred upon request.

Water Sports: Water-skiing, parasailing, jet skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling and scuba diving are available at the beach and can be coordinated by the concierge desk for additional fee.

Horseback Riding: Available at the beautiful and secluded “Playa Larga Beach” just a 30 minutes drive from the hotel.

Golf: Palma Real Golf Course, one of Robert Trent Jones best designs, located directly in front of our hotel.  The Marina Golf Course is 5 minutes away.  Both courses are world class and welcome golfers of all levels.

Tennis: Courts are available just 5 minutes away at the Palma Real Golf Course as well as several more nearby locations throughout Ixtapa.

Fishing: Sport fishing for sailfish, marlin and tuna can be arranged upon request.

Sunset tours: Private tours of the Zihuatanejo Bay in private boat.

 MEETINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS: Dedicated event facilities for small groups.  We are happy to arrange and cater sunset weddings and events at our gardens and terraces.  Please contact our group coordinator for details.

SERVICES: Complimentary welcome cocktail and fruit basket delivered to room, room service (6AM to midnight), turn-down service, concierge service, spa, money exchange, medical doctor on call 24 hours.

CHILDREN: Children of all ages are welcome.  Children pool, baby sitting and activities available.

PETS: Small pets allowed (under 20 lb)

LANGUAGES: English and Spanish spoken fluently.

CANCELLATION: 10% penalty on any cancellation received 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. Penalty of 1 night will be assessed on cancellations received 14 days prior to arrival (7 days for months June to October) and 2 nights on cancellations less than 14 days prior to scheduled arrival (7 days for months June to September. No-show will be 3 nights charge (2 nights for months June to October).

Christmas/New year's cancellations are 90% refundable if cancel more than 60 days and 50% refundable if cancel 30-60 days prior to scheduled arrival. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date are not refundable. Any departure prior to pre-scheduled departure date will result in a penalty for the full stay.

AIR ACCESS TO ZIHUATANEJO: Several airlines offer nonstop flights to Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa from major US cities.  Flying to Zihuatanejo via México City is only an additional 45-minute flight, and there are several daily non-stop flights.
